At HMS we pride ourselves on being a national resin installation contractor, undertaking jobs from Devon to the Scottish Borders… or in this case, the stunning rural Welsh Coast village of Pennal, near the town of Machynlleth.
Surrounded by the majestic countryside of Snowdonia National Park, this Welsh stone cottage has been improved even further with the addition of Decra®Stone resin bonded surface treatment to the entrance and parking areas. Our popular 2-4mm Amber Gold aggregate was chosen, to compliment the surrounding stonework and blend seamlessly with the natural landscape that forms the backdrop to this property.
Given the time of year, coupled with Wales having a reputation for being somewhat wet, HMS operatives worked tirelessly to force-dry the surfacing ahead of installing 190m² of Decra®Stone in one shift. The weather was on our side as a rare treat, and we managed to complete before the drizzle returned.
This week sees the beginning of several interesting and varied projects for our installation crews:
A brand new car park in Didcot, Oxfordshire will be receiving some much needed High Friction Surfacing; a newly constructed cycle path in Bristol gets an anti-slip face lift in VERY tight working conditions; we’re completing Decra®Set resin bound paving for a national house-builder in Acton, West London, and last but not least – watch this space for our upcoming Thames Cycle Scheme project in Greenwich village in partnership with CIK Construction and Bellway Homes. Check back next week to see how we get on installing resin bound paving using green Italian marble!
